Trying to fine tune my Xenons and am unable to access control module 55 or even 29 (left lamp) or 39 (right lamp) for the headlamp ranges in my 04 S4. I take the laptop over to the allroad and 55 comes up no problem. When I access 55 in the S4 I can hear the lamps cycle down then up but the VAG will not connect. I tried it with ignition on and lights off then on, parking brake is off and I'm obviously on a level surface. With ignition on and lights on the lamps dip and return to normal when I access 55 but again no connection to get into the adaptation screen or to be able to check for faults. I'm running VAG-COM licensed release 303.1 TIA

The B6's headlight controller requires a dual-K interface.

You should also update your software to a newer version.

Will upgrading to software v311.2 offer any upgrades to what I'm running now other than needing the dual K? Perhaps I'll just keep what I have until I actually *need* an interface upgrade. I just use VAG to check and clear codes...and adjust headlights ;~)
