I have a fault code and am trying to figure out what it is. I did an auto scan, but couldn't communicate with any of the engine modules. Is this something common? I was able to scan my radio and brakes and noticed that things were happening so I know it works.

The first thing you should do is register with us for tech support, like it says on the blue sheet that was packed with the interface.

No, the behavior you describe is not normal. I suggest you call us for tech support, from in front of your PC, while connected to the car.
