I have tested the correct COM port and it is fine.
When I attempt to try to connect to a control module i can not connect.
I get init. address ** try 1
then try 2
then try 3
then a prompt asking if I would like to try again.
What could this be?
I have a 1997 Audi A8.
I have the VAG tool plugged into my cars diag port in the ash tray area. The LED on the VAG tool is green.
Please let me know ASAP.I tried this on an XP laptop, which I got the same thing. I thought it was because of a serial port issue ( shes all loose, heh) so I brought out my old PC ( 98SE ) to my garage. Same exact thing.
