I have a 2000 A4 1.8t, the screen on my instrument cluster went down so i got another panel from a friend's totalled A4. I have it installed and everything works great but the miledge is off and its a major issue, i had 35000 on mine making it in warranty and he had 63000 on his making his out of warranty. I mentioned it to the dealer off the record and he said he really couldn't help me and wouldn't be able to do warranty repair to my car unless i can figure out how to change it since they didn't install the new instrument display.

I found the Channel under the instrument cluster that displays the miledge to change but well, i can't change it, it just says error when i put the right amount in. I assume this is what the "login" button is for, but have no idea how to use it or anything. can anyone out there help me out!!

It can only be reprogrammed under a certain mileage (around 100 miles). Once you go over that it's "locked"!
