Does VAG-COM expose anything that could be used to tweak the trip computer, specifically on a 2003 A4?
For example, I've noticed that the Trip Computer's average MPG calculation is 1.5 MPG high compared to what I calculate at the pump, so I'm curious if there is anything I could change (introduce "fudge" factor?) to get the calculation even closer.

at adaptation Channel 03. The range is 85% to 115%, in steps of 5%.

I changed it from the default of 100 to 90. We'll see if that moves the figure in the right direction for me, or not.
Thanks again, Uwe!

I adjusted mine to 95 initially and discovered that the trip computer read even higher. Setting it to 105 was much better. Its now about 3% off so I'm not sure if I want to adjust it to 110 and have the trip comp. read lower than actual or leave it as is, slightly optimistic.

I'll probably wait until my next gas stop (today or tomorrow) then change it to 105.

the average seemed to be adjusted immediately (and pretty much dead-on).
I was under the impression that the consumption "factor" would actually apply to the data as it was collected. Instead, it appears that it must use it as a multiplier against all of the collected data. Smart way to do it.
