My car (with tip) has been experiencing surging between 18-22k ever since I had the ECU and Tip controller upgraded with GIAC parts; today I found the page linked below and tried the trick (Go to auto trans module, choose basic settings, 000, floor it for three seconds) and now my surging seems to be gone and the car delivers the power much smoother and it feels totally stock.

What exactly does this trick DO? Is it really a cure for my surging or am I just not noticing the surging today?

Any ideas, thanks!<ul><li><a href="http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/autotrans.html">VAG-COM Auto Trans Info</a></li></ul>

except for your TCU. The TCU "learns" where the throttle position stops are.
