Does anyone make Carbon Fibre Bonnets for the A4?
If so how much do they cost? And where can you get them from?

PS. I was trying to change my oil last night. The old filter was no problems, but the sumb plug was soooooo bloody tight. I had a O ring spanner of about 25cm and I push as hard as I could and it would even budge. I even resorted to tapping it with a hammer. Even using a bit of pipe to extend the leverage to about double didnt help.

I read somewhere that the plug should be do to 50nM, so this should mean about 20kg of force at 25cm. I was applying at least twice that, not to mention with the extra leverage.... So i had to give upas it was getting dark. This gives me even less faith in letting mechanics (aka butchers) touching my car.

Anyway, I just had to rant a bit.

Also, bear in mind, they need painting to protect them - colour or clear coat so that is more $.

Innevitably they also need trimming and finishing for that perfect fit.

Dont want to discourage you as they look fantastic - just be wary of freight costs. You would save a lot on freight if you get a couple of them in a group buy. You are paying shipping for cubic volume on something like this. 2 or 3 take up almost no more room than 1 when placed together.<ul><li><a href="http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/shared/part_select.cfm?PMaI=1&amp;PMoI=1&amp;PEI=2&amp;PP=a4_18t_exte rior.cfm&amp;PPT=Exterior">http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/shared/part_select.cfm?PMaI=1&amp;PMoI=1&amp;PEI=2&amp;PP=a4_18t_exte rior

I know they did an assortment of body kits, one with vents. They might be able to bring a carbon fibre one in with other shipments if they don't already have one.

Option 2. If a few people want get Lucas to make a mould of his before he paints it.

Option 3. Group buy.
