finding new things each day. It's like a little gift each time I find something new!

It wasn't in the 2004, but there is a switch for it (go figure). I guess the "ghosts" causing false alarms on the B5 S4 had something to do with it.

There is a tilt sensor on the 2004, though...

This will disable the switch...

its 3 switches, motion sensor, tilt sensor and trunk release. The motion sensor in the car is not as sensative as my B5. But with heavy movement it sets off.

There's no mention of it in the manual (at least that I could find, which doesn't necessarily mean it's not there), and my dealer told me that there isn't one (again to be taken with a large grain of salt). Also, the switch doesn't have an icon on it, and doesn't appear to do anything.

I know that you couldn't leave the windows open in the B5 for fear of the wind setting of the motion detector...

Sorry for being unclear.

English is my primary language, if you can believe that :-)...

Valet Key

the valet key cant open the glove box or the trunk, or the seat locks.

It might be something like locking the trunk with the key, which will prevent the button from working. Otherwise, the valet could just pull the button inside the door compartment (if he knew it existed) and get in that way.

Also, the fold-down rear seats lock, don't they? Never put them down, so I don't amember...

of finding something new! (plus, I've only had her for 4 days- I couldn't possibly read the WHOLE manual in that short amount of time!)

I also reread it every 6 months to see what I have forgotten and sometime missed.

The B6 S4 is about twice as complicated as the B5 S4.
