Brembos aren't necessarily better. But many car companies turn to them because they do an excellent job of making products that their own R&D would be too costly to do on their own.

It's usually a business decision, not a performance one. BMW is a good example of not using Brembos, and has excellent stopping distance. I'd prefer Audi did the same and engineer it specificly for the car but then that brings added cost. I can suffice with either, but I'd rather have the "pretty damn good" brakes over the "awesome" ones, if I can save a few bucks :)

So, that means any kit for any Brembo kit for an A6 or S4 will fit. Make no mistake Brembos rule. They are on Porsches, Ferraris, Lambos, some S Audis, and all RS spec Audis for a reason other than cheap R &amp; D. :)
