1) Go with manual, lighter race seats: save 35 lbs. each front, save 30 lbs. rear, total: 100 lbs.

2) Lighter, more aggressive (louder) exhaust, save 20 lbs.

3) Lighter forged wheels: save 40 lbs.

4) Lighter upgrade brakes/rotors: save 30 lbs.

5) Miscellanous other reduction: save 40 lbs.

6) No spare: save 50 lbs.

Total saved: 280 lbs.

So, 3,660 - 280 = 3,380lbs. Much better. :-)

Now we can run with the M3. :-)

No Quattro.

RWD is the only way you're going to take out a lot of that weight.

After that, it's a balancing act.. Audi needs to get a better front to rear weight distribution, or running with the M3 will be a moot point.

Right now, the M3 is a much more nimble car because it's RWD and has a near 50:50 weight distribution.
