So, ALL the lights start blinking at once on the display -- P R N D S.

Odd, right?

I call the dealer, they say the car is in LIMP MODE and that the problem could be the transmission module or the actual transmission is toast. (it's a CVT, surprise..)

Take it to dealer.

He determines it's just the control module. They replace it.

No problems since, but it worries me.

I read in one post that to replace the module they have to completely disassemble the transmission to get to the module.

Having that done to my car just makes me worry... oh well..

That was about three months ago. No problems since..

Audi dealer are not allowed to open trannys and work on them. Its remove and replace for the grease monkeys..whic given today's state of Audi dealer service and ability is a good thing.
