I have the S4 Cab and I'm not interested in drilling to add a hitch mount.

View Full Version : Anyone come up with a trunk mount ski rack solution? My preference is a trunk mounted rack like in the link as I will be skiing a lot this year. Unfortuantely the company in the linked URL says that their racks will not fit the A4/S4 Cab. :( Anyone try the Audi TT trunk mounted rack? I know its a long shot but.......

http://www.roofrackshop.co.uk/boot/boot.htm</a

Paris UK 10-27-2004, 12:18 AM You can fit at least 2 boot bags alongside it in the boot (trunk) and probably another bag or 2. The rest of the stuff has to go on the back seat. Since I got the cab in January we took it on 3 skiing weekends and it was great. BroncoOne 10-28-2004, 01:49 PM In my A4 I found that today's wider skis do indeed fill up the bag--2 pair is a squeeze. I also snowboard. If I put the snowboard into the trunk flat before loading the bag, I can get 2 pairs of skis into the bag and the board in the trunk. If you've got a lot of stuff, you're flipping at least one rear seat down. Paris UK 11-02-2004, 12:32 AM We have 2 pairs of Head Monsters and they go in without any problems. I've just realised you're talking about the A4 saloon, because there's no way you'd get a board into the trunk of a cab and the seats don't fold down. The Cab bag is probably a different size and I reckon you could get a board in there |
