View Full Version : fcuk...just got a speeding ticket in my cab. any advice on how to get out of it. mrjain 10-04-2004, 11:14 PM mrjain 10-04-2004, 11:24 PM diakos 10-04-2004, 11:25 PM I was lucky the cop was a good one (well, I guess there are some) and wrote 169 on the ticket, so I didn't get arrested. I will have to go to court though. steve41 10-05-2004, 05:55 AM Are you in the states? If so , and in California, you can opt. for traffic school and get out of the ticket. Other than that....hope the insurance company doesn't find out. mrjain 10-05-2004, 07:12 AM paulroad 10-05-2004, 07:45 AM mrjain 10-05-2004, 10:55 AM Between the UCLA entrance on Royce drive and Veteran Ave, as some of you know this is a curvy section on sunset and very dangerous. I was in the left lane and there was a car behind me. The car in the right lane was kinda swerving and what not, so I sped up to get away from that nonsense and that's when I got pulled over. Then the cop asks me what I was doing, I said I was taking a class at UCLA, then he says "really, what class goes till 9:30p" i inform him it's a night class. Then asks if I had been drinking, I reply "nothing and in fact nothing in the last 4 months, since i'm training for a marathon". Then asks if I was taking any medication. Bottomline, gives me a ticket and says drive safely. I can see getting the ticket b/c I was speeding to avoid getting hit from the car in the right hand lane, and I couldn't down slow b/c of the car directly behind me. paulroad 10-06-2004, 09:30 PM What is the ticket for? Is it for speeding? If so.. how fast and what was the limit? How did the officer determine your speed? Radar? Laser? |
