View Full Version : Audi is losing a long time customer...

Well after 6 Audis: '83 GT Coupe, '84 5000, '87 GT Coupe, '91 90, '93 90, '01 A4, I'm throwing in the towel on Audi - at least for now.

My A4 balloon lease is turning out to be a disappointment now that the term is almost over. The Houston dealers aren't showing any appreciation for customer loyalty and rather than deal on a new Cab to replace my A4 they try to push me into an A6 or an Allroad. It's like they are blind to what I'm looking for. I said "no more lack-luster sedan, don't need 4 doors, I want something sporty and exciting". Both dealers here in Houston have tried putting me back in an A4. When it comes to Cab's or TT's they claim they don't have room to make an attractive deal.

So as much as I was certain I'd be trading up into my 7th Audi, I'm shopping elsewhere. Audi in Houston isn't offering a car that excites me unless I pay through the nose for it.

I'm going to Infinity - the G35 Coupe. I won't get into arguing Infinity vs. Audi but the car is beautiful, powerful, and sporty plus Inifity gets great reviews on their reliability and dealer service (even though my A4 was covered by the Audi "Advantage" it saw a lot of shop time and the dealer service was fair at best).

Apparently Audi here in my area isn't too concerned about keeping customers.

2 doors or 4, the car is no TT, 350, g35 etc. I have ridden in a g35 coupe and I thought it was a very great car and much better than say a 330.

going to test drive a G35 Coupe today. keep hearing pretty good things about it and of course now I'm seeing them everywhere.

I love the styling of the car but I do agree that the G35's interior design/materials don't touch Audi's caliber. but the G35 a pretty cool ride.

for the cars they're motivated to sell. guess it always pays to read the teeny-tiny print at the bottom of those newspaper ads.
