Would like to get sat radio but only want it if it can be routed through the existing Audi radio does anyone know if this is possible?

So maybe it's possible. Fortunately mine came with it and didn't get deleted out.

The manual says "see your Audi dealer", but I am interested in a DIY project for satellite radio.

I would like to think that I could just purchase the receiver, mount it in the trunk, install the interface in the non-functional sunglass holder(top of console) and the factory radio would have a normal DIN cable connection.

Man can dream, yes?
