After I spent 4+ hours driving A4s today, the dealer said he has several A4 Cabs 3.0 CVT Sport/Premiums coming in the next few weeks. The 2 A4 Cabs 1.8T in the showroom have MSRP plus $2495 "market adjustment" stickers on the windshields.
Based on the Edmunds invoice price (about $4000 below MSRP), I made a "non-negotiable" offer for $2000 below MSRP. After much going back and forth by them, they finally agreed to $1500 below MSRP. In other words, I got them to drop the $2495 markup and another $1500.
So they came within $500 of my price. I told them I didn't need the car immediately, and I will shop the other dealers in my area. They let me out the door, so I guess that was their best price (for now).
Just thought I would share my experience...

Keep buggin' them Ron. I got almost $4000 of the MSRP with no mark up in Palo Alto, CA. There are plenty of these cars around---you'll feel better if you shop a bit more. The adjusted mark up is BULL_ _ _ _! They know you like the car so they let you go out the door knowing darn well you'll be back. Good Luck!

14 of them in the LA basin alone. Just say NO to dealer markups. Good luck!

Oceanside, that's about two hours drive from Beverly Hills. Call Scott (310)481-8115 or Soloman (310) 481-8135 @ Beverly Hills Audi and tell them Marius sent you. They are simply the most honest and up-front sales people I've ever dealt with and they don't do mark-ups. That's company policy there.

I also got a lot of MSRP but i was an early shopper. I went back to my dealer with a friend who was interested in a cab and was told that the deal I received wasnt possible anymore. He told me that when the Cabrio first came out, Audi didnt support its launch at all, no print or TV ads - nothing. Sales were really slow (when i bought mine in May the lot was full of them) but they just took off in the last month.
I guess some of us were lucky for being early shoppers.

I ordered my A4 Cab and it came in yesterday - sans teh Quattro.
Originally they'd given me about 2000 below list, and then they tacked on another $1000 + the diff of the Quattro to CVT discount, or would have let me order a new one.
I drove the CVT. Color me impressed. They tell me it doesn't snow here as much in NC as it did in KS and that Q's aren't that much needed.
I always have the allroad too.

U.S. dealers paste a "Market Value" increase in the price for cars with a high demand. It is such a rip off--it's only for the dealer to make even more money on a already over priced car. But--capitalism and demand work together.....

I know of a few guarded dealers that would offer you a better price, email me sometime.
