I'm looking for recommendations on a chip for my '03 1.8T A4 cab with the CVT transmission. Who did it and how much difference did it make?

I chipped my manual 1.8T and I am really happy with the result. I did MTM stage 1+ (chip and fuel injectors). As far as I know, there will be no problems chipping the CVT. The transmission can easily handle up to 220-230bhp.

How does chipping your cab affect the variable servicing?

I'm thinking of getting the APR chip. My only real concern is making sure I don't lose my warranty.

I went to my local Audi tuner (Ontario, Canada)this weekend for the 5 hour trial of the REVO software for the 1.8T.

Results: WOW! By the seat-of-the-pants measure I'd figure that the car went from 170 HP to 200 and torque from 166 ft-lbs to 190+.

In tip mode I had a hard time not squeeling the wheels when shifting from 1 to 2.

My wife even approved!

I'll be getting the upgrade after the winter for sure.

I'm in Toronto and would be interested in any
Audi tuner meetings. Please e-mail me any info. THX.

I don't know how things are in the US regarding the warranty. My dealer told me that if the chip is from a certified tunner (like MTM or sportec here in europe) it'll be ok. MTM is TUV certified and they give two years guarantee themselves.
