Orig post on Oct 4th...
Just heard from the dealer (Bev Hills Audi):
A new transmission will be installed in my "new" cab. That should take care of those jolts anyway.

Re: the clunks when turning on a gradient: they still don't know & "are hoping the replacement of the transmission & mounts will take care of it."
Don't know if hope is the best strategy here...

Question for you all: when your AC is on "LO" and you increase the temp by just a few degrees (say to 66 or 67), does hot air blow out for a minute or so? My A6 rental doesn't do that but my A4 Cab does. Doesn't seem right & never had this on any other car before. Am asking them to check.

Lastly, I asked for the driver's side under seat storage bin to be installed (mine only came w/ passenger bin). So that brings my grand total of things to be done /fixed to five.

Will keep you posted. Any thoughts on the AC are greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Jill

... They told me that the driver's side seat storage bin was not available because the seat memory hardware took up too much space.

Do you have the 3.0 with the memory function?

I was told the same thing except that doesnt' reing true for the non-sport seats. I still can't get the driver's side storage bin installed yet.

No hot air blowing out of the vents but I did notice my Allroad has better cooling than this car does.

I don't have one yet, but I requested one. I remembered a poster on this forum said he got one a while back (the poster was Brian Cecil & he got it from Keyes in Van Nuys & they did fit it in). I did a search, found the posts, & faxed a copy to BH Audi Service.
I have a 3.0, Premium, Sport Pkg, Bose w/non-sport seats. I believe BC had non-sport seats, too. I'll keep you posted.
I absolutely love this board!

Don't know if it helps but the storage bin is fitted to the both the driver's and passenger sport seats in the UK so it must surely fit in a US car. My car also had the electric seats so it so it sounds as though your dealer is giving you a BS excuse for not fitting it to your car. I found the storage bin pretty useful.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to raise hell with my dealer on Monday.
