Well I have done it. I have joined the list of owners who have got rid of their Cabs after getting pissed off with all its problems and the apalling service received by my supplying dealer.

The car was picked up by a London Audi Dealer as my supplying dealer offered a crap price of £2,000 less, despite asking them to reflect all the issues I have had with them/the car in the price.

Local Garage where we bought my partners car arranged the deal for us and have bent over backwards to help us. The proprietor must have contacted every Audi Dealer in the country and all his contacts to get me a great price, which makes the loss only 11% - not even the VAT

We have worked out that we have lost £300 a month, not a bad rental fee for the Summer.

The relief now that the car has gone is AMAZING. I never quite realised how much it was getting to me. Although today waiting until 5.30pm to find out that we had got the price we wanted and wern't knocked down was a killer.

I am not going to be an ex cab owner who keeps banging on about how crap they are, because it's not fair on the others who still love them, but I will say that if it was even 80% of how I expected my first Audi to be, I would probably still have it, but it wasn't - not even 50%

In the last few weeks even more problems had arisen on the car and I felt like I was driving a ticking time bomb, just waiting for the next problem to rear its ugly head

After the last visit to the dealer where everything it went in for had re-occured within a few days, some worse, the straw finally broke the camels back

Good luck to all who are happy with their cabs and hope it continues to be good for you

in the UK? Here, you might have been able to convince Audi to buy it back from you. Of course, there are strict limitations on when and how you can use this law.

Glad to know you got it taken care of... what were the top 3 issues you just couldn't live with?

No cut and dried lemon law in the UK and Audi UK head office were worse than the dealer.

3 main points were:

1. Bad build quality
2. Rubbish dealer
3. Continual re-occurring faults

I'm glad that you have gotten rid of the frustraiting problemsof owning your car. I know how awful that can be having a couple of lemons here in the U.S. It's too bad that Audi UK is not as customer serivce oriented as AudiUS. Probably beause Audi's are not as big as sellers as they are in Europe. So stupid, if they had treated you with respect they might have kept a customer. But to their fault, another $$$$ customer lost.
I hope your next car fairs better than the Audi.

I've decided to go mainstream and get a new Renault Megane. The helpfulness of the staff at my very small village dealership is beyond reproach, both in the selling of the car and the servicing of my parners Clio.

Getting the top of the range privilege model with the 1.9dCi engine. It is a fantastic drive.

Going to chuck the remainder of the cheque onto the mortgage :-)
