Had a chat with my dealer re streaky wipers - apparently a common problem - it is often caused by the protective wax on the car not being removed properly in the wiper spring/hinge and thus stoppung full pressure being applied to screen. He recommended cleaning both spring and hinge with WD-40 ( and essential accessory for the cab if you see previous posts!) and lo and behold wipers are much better. Have yet to test in heavy rain, but will keep you posted when I have.

Just a thought - Won't the oily properties of WD40 run down the blade and cause further problems ?

Also are people actually spraying WD40 into the grooves where the windows go into the hood surround?

So far my hood/windows seem to be real quiet - virtually no hood noise except on extreme bumps.
