Just wondered if anyone here had had alarm problems with their Cabriolets?

There was a bit of discussion some while back somewhere about false alarms, I just wondered if anyone here had experienced it?

Ari.

This is a repeat of the posting down below regarding my oil leak in a Cab.

"The car is in the shop today.

Audi has a service bulletin out for this leak which affects 3.0 litre engines. The tech explained it to me, and it's straight forward to fix -- all external (valve cover). It has something to do with a design used in the 2.8 engine, and the resultant problem with the aluminum 3.0.

Regardless, you should get it in to be serviced."

Just got word that my oil leak is not where they originally thought it was (ie, the service bullentin that's out). After putting dye in the engine, they tracked it to another area. the fix involves dropping the transmission and replacing a seal in the engine. 2 days to do the work plus 5 days waiting for parts = 1 week without my car. The only good news is that it's winter here and i'm not missing the top being down.

my cab has some problems with the alarm.
it just goes off now and then.
probably has something to do with the movement detector inside. dunno. its a pain in the arse tho...
