I am a lucky guy, really, i am 19 and my dad bought me a 2003 A4 convertable with a rare dolphin grey exterior and dark red and black leather interior. Sounds awesome huh? Well when you consider the fact that I have only driven the car 230 miles in two weeks becasue it has been in the shop longer than I have owned the car. The top will not go down nor go up. THe trunk wont open, and my climate control shuts on and off when I hit try to operate the top. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem with thier top mechanism. Ill have pictured of my car up hopefully later today.

When operating the top do you hold the button down or just touch it? You have to hold it down. Audi made it so when you open the top the heater comes on, when you close the top the heater turns off(or is it just when you close it?) Any ways there is this thing called a manual and you should sit in your car for 3 hours and just read that manual, you'll freak your self out when you know how to operate the whole car with no problems, BTW why should a dad buy his 19 y/o son a $50K car? Your an adult now! Buy your own car!

I may be 19, but however old you are, the universal rules of English apply. It is "you are" not YOUR, thanks anyways.

- Climate settings change when the top is lowered

- Top will not open if the trunk's variable storage compartment is up

- Hold the button throughout the top-up/down process

Calm down Honkie. Try not to knock someone else's grammar when you have trouble forming sentences yourself:

"...when I hit try to operate..."

I would have loved to have had the dolphin grey with red sports seats though; nice color combo.
