I'm trying to get the release date for the '99s. Ordered one several weeks ago and was told that it was at port but couldn't be released until the official release date. Of course, the dealer didn't know when that would be.<p>Any updates on this?

Dealers are getting 99 left and right.. Don't know where your dealer got their information from.. You should question them again.. Last I heard they are releasing them from the port.. <p>I've had mine for a month already. Where are you located? I am in New York.. Yup, Dmak is one of the few who have received their 99's! Dmak, what color and what options did you choose? Any upgrades yet? I'm expecting my 99' 1.8T w/every option except tiptronic trans. in silver. I already have the following for it:<br>1.) Audi OEM cargo net<br>2.) Bosch clear corners & In.Pro clear side markers<br>3.) Audi OEM winter floor matts<br>4.) WeatherTech cargo liner<p>...and still want a set of OEM 16" 5-spokes to mount snows on for winter use!<p>JT

I'm in Utah and the car is coming from Houston. When my wife talked to the dealer today, she informed him that they had been released...not the other way around. He had no clue!!

I chose the Silver also.. Options I got were sport Package, Sport Seats, quattro and convenience package.. <p>The mods I have done is basically what you have..<br>Got the Bosch clear corners, clear Inpro side markers.. I never heard about any official release date. It costs money to keep them in port - why would they ship it if it wasn't ready to be released? I was talking to Mark Burns (great guy, BTW) of Clair Motors, MA at a recent NE A4 gathering... he said that there is an release date that Audi goes by...and there is nothing the dealer can do about it. Now, I am not sure if this varies from dealer to dealer...<br>Just tell you what I heard...<p>Cris

I would say your dealer is giving you a line. Have seen them in dealer's lots for weeks now, and I would doubt that they would not be allowed to sell them.
