View Full Version : White-Allen service in Dayton any good?! NickS 03-27-2003, 08:19 AM I'm low on coolant so I have an appointment for Tuesday AND I need my 30k service so I am doing that while I'm here. Is White-Allen Audi good, bad or run like hell?! S4nut 03-27-2003, 04:58 PM HalleTT 03-27-2003, 05:04 PM Have had the TT in 3-4 service visits. Car comes back clean with no damage. Can't ask for much more! S4A4 03-31-2003, 08:35 AM Give me a call and I'll let you know who to take it to! cmissle 04-01-2003, 06:28 AM I havent been there since they built the new dealership, Gary was the service manager when i was there, he was really helpful working on my headache of a 944 turbo! If I wasnt an hour away from there, I would take my A4 there all the time. Foos 04-01-2003, 11:42 AM I bought my '97 used from White-Allen, and while the car has had only a few problems, I haven't enjoyed dealing with them. In my experience they've been evasive and misleading, and I'm not going back. I can detail my experiences via email should anyone be interested. OTOH, I've had much happier times with MAG in Columbus, and with a small Porsche shop (The Garaj) in Dayton (they also do VW & Audi). cuatrokoop 04-03-2003, 05:06 PM MAG fubar'd the Cabrio pretty well when we took it in for them to replace a tail lamp lens after they broke it while replacing the trunk lock. Somehow, the car came back with a non-functional electro-hydraulic top, with some rather messed up wiring back there, but with a working trunk lock and non-broken lens. Every dealer is gonna have good and bad remarks about them. Its inevitable, you can't please everyone, and sometimes they just plain f'up... shrtbus(w/ cq) 04-05-2003, 07:17 PM and I know tim white the owner of white-allen... much less of a hassle dealing with motorwerkes than the dealer... can get the car is quicker, for less money, and with better quality... cmissle 04-07-2003, 07:56 AM visit. I liked the guys there but a few other things like putting a hose on for the cruise control was $100! It seems hard to find a german shop that wont eventually screw you in the end. S4A4 04-09-2003, 08:40 AM And you won't have things broken that were not broken before you took it in. Also - they will not rip you off and are extremely honest with what is going on with your car!!! Great to work with! About 5 minutes down the road by Dixie and Dorthy. I just turned someone else on to them who had a ton of bad luck with WA. There was always something else wrong everytime the car was picked up. I had the same experience. If I go back for a recall, I will not take my eyes off my car for a second. |
