I wanted to come over from the NY/NJ/CT board to post about an experience that lasted about a year.
Last year I was living in Scottsdale, AZ. I needed to have the power steering pump replaced on my 91 Coupe Quattro and a fried suggested a shop on Cave Creek Rd. Although it took them nearly three weeks and I began to STRONGLY doubt their Audi knowledge (they kept ordering the hose for a 5000 - don't ask me why!) I don't feel comfortable slamming them here.
I will, however, give major ups to Audi of North Scottsdale.
You see, the part had a one year warranty. Just shy of a year after I got my car back, the pump is gone again. I called the place on Cave Creek, told them it was dead and that I was in New York. To make a long story short, after about five phone calls, they told me to call the Parts Manager at Audi of N Scottsdale as they sold the pump origianally.
Gary, the manager, remembered me from last year because of the troubles I had.
"What can I do to make this right?"
"Ship the pump to Caruso Motor Sports in Connecticut."
"Okay." And he did.
Now that, my Southwestern friends, is Customer service! Unfortunately, Gary is no longer with them. But I give credit to A of NS in general.
