View Full Version : Poll for All Atlantians? ROUGETECH 05-25-2007, 09:44 PM Jim Ellis or Nalley? In warranty or out of ? entryleveluxurysedan 05-25-2007, 10:59 PM they seem to be not as busy when I've been there so service time has been excellent. Everything I've had done has been pm type work. When I have had warranty issues, I've gone to a local indy shop. RedWing 05-26-2007, 05:45 AM AVANT S4 KING 05-26-2007, 07:55 AM Jim Ellis tends to do a lot of stupid things to my friends and family members cars. Things like inflating tires on a brand new A4 to over 55psi. Ignoring bad synchros (a very obvious problem on the particular car, which is covered by warranty) but finding a laundry list of items not covered under warranty without being asked to. Doing hundreds of dollars in unauthorized repairs. Trying to get out of giving a loaner car, even when its part of the lease or warranty coverage. Thats just my list from the last 12 months. choppo 05-26-2007, 09:37 AM zache 05-26-2007, 07:35 PM I've never had any problems with any Jim Ellis dealerships. I know some have, but everything's always been great there for me. ado_dado83 05-27-2007, 11:22 AM c4S6 05-27-2007, 06:20 PM four door 05-27-2007, 10:59 PM myself. a3 dude 05-28-2007, 10:15 AM Close to the house. Always get a loaner. Can't complain...but haven't tried Nalley. PMS 05-28-2007, 11:26 AM So far they have been great. Yes, their labor rate is high, and they even charge a little premium on their parts, but the service and communication has been great. Plus they gave me an '04 S4 6mt as a loaner last time, which filled in well for the few days they had my car. I have had some issues with their sales people, but I think they have turned that around lately. And the other day I went in there to ask about a roof rack, waited around at the parts counter for about 10 minutes after ringing the bell a couple times, finally got pissed and decided to leave, but got stopped on my way out the door by a salesman. He asked it he could help, I explained I was about to go somewhere else, and he said he would see to it I was taken care of. He did, and the parts guy who finally helped me was over the top courteous, which was pleasantly surprising considering the hissy fit I threw to get his attention. So perfect? No. But better than most in my opinion. That being said, I have not even visited Jim Ellis, so I can't compare.
