A former local guy dropped off 4 OZ SL's at my house last night and Im trying to help him sell them. They are used and one needs some professional repairs, but considering that they are discontinued, his asking price is very good.

I dont much care for the 'notches' at the end of the B6 spokes.....personal opinion.

B7 RS4 reps are near the top of my list.

Hartmann says that they are working on S8 Reps.

sorry though...i'm keeping mine until i they make a 19". 2nd on the DTMs they look really good on b5s.

i called him monday morning and he said the price he quoted me was JUST for the rear springs! He said "that is what i asked them to do". I assured him it was not. I had a receipt that says "front and rear".

They wanted another $500 for the front! Yeah right, thats gonna happen. Told him to either do the front for free or refund half my money and i'll go somewhere else. They offered to do the front for half price($250). Not gonna happen.

Told him to have the service manager call me. I explained the whole situation to the service manager (who was really cool) and he said "bring it up and we'll do the front, no charge, sorry for the inconvenience".

Whats rediculous is:
-their price to do coilovers is $1000 plus $100 for alignment when everyone else including the "other" audi dealership is willing to do it for half.
-the fact that they thought it is normal to do rear coilovers and not the front, and never asked "you sure you dont want to do the front?" makes me question their knowledge of these cars.

Hindsight, i should have gone to euro tech. Dealer is good for service but for anything aftermarket, i'll go to an indy shop.

Did 'golfindaily' ever contact you about pressure testing? Maybe the 3 of us could meet up and do that. I wouldnt mind testing my car for sh!ts and giggles, either.

The only guys I know with B6 wheels on their B5 car are morons.

b6 avus' do look better ; ) see VVVVVVVVVVVVV

as OE and dead ringer for the factory. Ran them as winter wheels on my allroad and they held up fantastic on Chicago's lousy roads, and especially since the allroad is a 4400lb beast. Not OE but a great option.
