A friend of mines car is throwing codes, and dealer recommended changing the TC but at almost $3k. The part is around $700 and I can do the work but I almost rather have her take it somewhere b/c my time has been scarse lately and it is alot of work. More work that a simple clutch.

that goes bad or shifts I forget eactly.. but its not worth cutting these TCs open to fix them...

depending on the engine is a real bitch to fix.. Warranty actually pays over 14 hours or so if I recall its like 20 cash plus fluid and clamps.

A local trans shop can probably do it in under 10 though and get a decent oem tc for less.

What was the phone number for the TC change in Atlanta? (me to on my A6 2.7T @ 70K - just failed).
