I just wanted to get the word out to any fellow Atlantans about this excellent Audi/VW shop I stumbled upon while searching google a few months ago. It's Ringtec, off GA 400 on Roswell Rd. I first went there to get MTM stage-one installed and I have returned there since for all of my repair, servicing, and upgrading needs. The owner has been driving Audi's since 1979, when he was 16, and he is Audi/VW factory certified. He is also very honest, and at $80 an hour, he has kept me away from Jim Ellis for quite some time. Ringtec also recognizes my after-market warranty which has been very nice. All the work has been completed quickly, and he never is calling me up about me also needing a new this, or that, like Jim Ellis always seems to do. Anyway, I wanted any other Audi drivers in the ATL to know that there is a great shop and mechanic at Ringtec. see for yourself www.ringtecatlanta.com

after getting a quote of $1k for a front brake job from Nally (yeah, I'm not kidding)- I decided it was time to look for an indy shop. Looks like I'll be going to Ringtec for my next service.

http://forums.audiworld.com/southeast/msgs/18988.phtml</a

when you say they are audi/vw factory certified, does that mean they do the scheduled maintenance that the dealerships do? wondering bc i'm coming up on my 5k service and if they can take care of it i'd like to give them a shot.

yeah, they do everything that the dealership would. They have always been quick to finish the job. Normally, I drop my car off at night and pick it up mid-afternoon the next day. So, I say save some time/stress/effort, and try them out. Do you use Nalley, or Jim Ellis usually?

i'm guessing they don't do loaners though like the dealerships would?

And ended up talking to Paul for about 15 minutes. Nice guy, seemed really enthusiastic about just chatting with me about some various issues. We talked about some performance mods, and extended warranties.

Just from talking to him, I actually got a good vibe...I'll be giving them a shot in the near future.

Hmmm...time to get the windows tinted? :)
