hello,

i'll be driving from virginia to california next week, through the southern route... and was wondering if anyone can give me some recs to a good shop in northwest NC, tennessee, arkansas, oklahoma to get my clutch done...

i'm driving on a clutch on a 93 urs4 that's on its way out... and i much rather have a destination to drive the car to get it fixed then to try to pray that nothing happens in the 2500 miles back to ca

thanks

They are the cheapest place to purchase the LUK (OEM) clutch. There are two clutch kits available for the S4s and S6s. One kit is a little more heavily sprung than the other. Either on will work in your car. I bought the kit for the earlier car when I did my 6-speed, which I installed, and it went on without any problems. If my memory serves me, I think I paid $230 for the clutch, pressure plate, and bearing. Oh yeah, the kit comes with the clutch centering tool too.

They are the cheapest place that I could find after doing a bunch of research.

They also offered me several upgraded clutch packages, but I declined. The stock clutch is a great unit. I replaced mine, which was the original from new, at 200k only because I was in there swapping out trannys. I was surprised to see that there was plenty of life left in it even after all those years of track days, mtn. drives, etc. The car has been modded with 340hp since around 40k.

local shops only know about Subarus, 4x4 pickups, and SUVs. Sucks for me!
