The lease on my 2001 A4 1.8T is up next month. I am over the mileage by about 6k. Is there a market for B5 A4's (FWD)? Payoff is ~$16.4k. Not sure if I should try and sell it or just keep it. Turning it in will not be worth it. Let me know. Thanks.

I just looked on eBay and similar cars are priced with a "buy it now" of less than your payoff, and they're not even getting that.

Hopefully your mileage penalty won't be too bad.

quite possiably.

but make sure to go for the quattro next time... :-)

I was just saying to myself before reading your post I would like to find a well taken care of 1.8TQM....

I'd possibly trade it in but depends what you are looking into doing.

Payoff = $16,400
Over 6k miles
Sell on your own for maybe $14 (just guessing here - but it definately won't be $16+.
Audi may cut you a break to keep you in another lease.
Get ready to take some lumps, good luck

Unless you really really love the car, kick it to the curb. The balance on your lease is obviously what Audi might expect to get from selling the car on the lot, not what you might get in a private party deal.

Check out AutoTrader's prices yourself:

<a href="http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/results.jtmpl?model=A4&body_style=&color=&max_mile age=&doors=&engine=4CLDR&fuel=&drive=&transmission =&start_year=2000&end_year=2001&min_price=&max_p ri

Audi would not waive my mileage charge, but they do waive disposition fee if within 30 days, u buy or lease another audi. You might also consider buying it and finance it through Audi.
They offered me 4% financing, with about 1500. cash back to me. I leased another car, but the financing was a great option considering the cash back to me.
