i screwed up thinking that the tensioner dampner and the tensioner roller were both included in the ultimate timing belt kit from ECS. i've got it apart this far and i'm sure as hell not putting it back together until i've replaced everything possible. so my car will sit this way until tuesday while I wait for parts...

the coolant I drained was definately the audi g12 variant. i'll probably try flushing the whole system again, maybe using a cleaner of some kind...

also, i ordered another accessory belt from ECS for you when i ordered the tensioner. i got new ignition wires also and a new air filter to boot. i'll get you the belt and the camshaft position securing bar before its time to do Ray's A6.

I'll kick in some $$S as a rental fee on the camshaft bar.
