Many of you read my posts over the last couple of days about my warranty/chip/clutch woes. I was very pleasant, understanding and calm with the advisors at the dealership during the whole ordeal. After I was informed my powertrain warranty was void I told them an independant shop was going to complete the work on my car and paid their $95 "inspection fee" without a reaction. I found out through the grapevine (no I didn't try to go to another dealership and con them into doing my work for free, I'm not dishonest or that stupid)pictures of my car along with my VIN have been circulated to area dealerships explaining that my ENTIRE warranty is void. WTF is all that about?

What stealership did you purchase the car from.

I understand you may nor want to say the name but my guess would be Jim Ellis.

I also purchased my car from them and right from the get-go they seemed shady about aftermarket upgrades.

Even going as far to tell me that a K&N would void my car. They even mentioned chipping is a no no before I even know you could chip the car!!

BTW, Jim Ellis service advisors were pretty negative sbout any mods but the wheels and catback. The lady even handed me a copy of AoA memo regarding chipping voiding the warranty - a copy is in my picture poster, but is too small to read.

They don't have a lot of wiggle room.

Obviously Audi wants us to enjoy our cars to a certain extent. Unfortunately, they dont want to pay for costly repairs with such items that dont need to be replaced so early because of chipping, suspension, etc. I can see where they are coming from. As I always say, You gotta pay to play....

I knew it was risky to chip my car and I am in no way tring to shift the blame here. I knew the possible consequences of my actions. I do not want to be responsible for a tech losing his job. This being said their are still ways of doing things. After purchasing a $30k+ car I don't appreciate being treated like a criminal !
