.....Car Service in south Asheville (on Sardis Road, near Brevard Road). Thinking of letting them R&R the timing belt, water pump, etc. (if I decide not to do it myself). I'm new here (from Colorado), and would like to have a reliable indy euro-car shop for stuff I don't want to tackle. Recommendations for other shops (in the Asheville/Buncombe County area) would be welcome too.

I'm here in Asheville, and I know precision pretty well. They have done work on my dad's ex 635CSi turbo, a friend's built Volvo 740, and a few more cars I know along the way. They've been around a while, and just grew into their new location there on Sardis Road, which is near the Biltmore Square mall in case you didn't know. None of the work I know of being done there on the cars I knew was major stuff, so take that for what it's worth.
I also know of Quattro South here in the area, owned by a guy named Lance I am pretty sure. I have no experience with him or his shop, so that's not an endorsement, just another lead.
Shoot me an email if you want to get together anytime, and maybe get hooked in to the local group of car nuts. Autocross season is about ready to start, and a few other things usually go on during the summer. It's a different group of people, that's for sure, but there's a few Audi fans mixed in.

.....as soon as we get more settled in, I would like to get together with you and your local group. My 100CSq is a great cruiser, but I don't think it's up to autocrossing (although, as a former SCCA member, I used to autocross and race). I'll send you an e-mail tonight.
Thanks again.
