not too bad of a turn out for a such a soggy rainy day. After 6 hours the Wolfsburg Jetta got finished, just needs a little tweeking. Man, my hand are sore from knocking them around. I still have mine and A420VT's suspension this following weekend. Anyone can feel free to come, it will be on the 25th. This should go off with out a hitch, I know the A4 better than the Jetta. Anyway, thanks again for the turn out and for the use of the odd tools to Collin (I think) and Jim for the Vag. I need to make sure that I get a simillar socket for my install. I only have a few pics that I have to download still. C'ya again on the next meet.

I have a question about one peice eurolights for my 99 A4...

Has anyone installed them before I hear there is some fender triming and I would like to install them the 25th. Is this a one day job or something that I just go to a bodyshop to do? Any thoughts on what brand?

Thanks,
LB

Just make sure you order the wiring harness with the lights. I put my harness together with dealer parts and saved ~$13, after having to order them and about 3 trips to the dealer, IMHO not worth it. You will also need a dremel to trim your fenders. The install took ~2.5 hrs (with RobC's and Carguys help). If time permits I will help you install them, since we are doing two suspensions on the 25th. If we don't get to it on the 25th we can get together another day.

We started my timing belt change last week, and everything that could go wrong did. My engine code turned out to be the "bastard" one that has a different timing belt (150 tooth belt), tensioner, and water pump. We had to go to the dealer 4 times to get the right parts.

I didn't get everything back together until Sunday evening. Hopefully next time I'll be able to meet up w/ you guys...

So what was the verdict with the towers? Oh, I left my sweater there, I'll get it when I get the rest of my tools too.

I am thinking either valeos or the AWE ones. I would like xenon if possible. Is it possible? What is the diffrence between the H7 and xenon?
Thanks,

Mine are valeos from ecs-tuning. They were $289 for the halogen, and about $30 for the harness. You can get the xenons but they are going to be more, ask on the A4 forum to see what your options are. As far as the the difference xenon is going to give you better visibility at night since it puts out more light compared to halogen, but you should decide if you really need xenons since the halogen are a noticeable upgrade compared to stock. Where are you located? You can check out my halogens to see if you like them before you order.

1. A4 European Non-Xenon Headlight Housings-pair
2. A4 European Headlight Wiring Harness
3. 2 X H1 Headlight Halogen Bulb-Each
4. 2 X H7 High & Low beam Halogen Bulb-Each

Let me know if this is right. Do I need the Headlight Tab Repair Kits?

Thanks,
LB

You're going to need the housings and the harness. I got the bulbs with my housings, so I'm not sure if you need to order them, too. Call ECS and find out if you can get them for $289 instead of the $309 on the website, since alot of people got them for $289. Also ask them if the bulbs are included or not. Just mention AW, and they will probably do it. As far as the Headlight Tab Repair Kit, you don't need it.

ECS
