I saw in a magazine ad for Buell motorcycles mention of a curvy road in the Smoky Mtn area called Deal's Gap. Something like 300 turns in 11 miles. Just wondering if anyone has driven it or if there are any other favorite country roads you'd like to recommend.
If you're in Kentucky you should check out route 227 in Owen County, not far off I-75.

...still in Colorado (Of course, we have some cool twisty roads here too). May move to west NC later this year.

http://www.mindspring.com/~rmgill/mc/adg/adg.html</a

Yeah it sounds cool but not necessarily what I'd make a 300 mile road trip for. It sounds fun though. Hell, driving I-40 between Knoxville and Asheville is fun.
Did you follow this link too? Pretty interesting article. I gotta get me a bike again!

Joshua J. Fielek's Trip Report

go on during the week if you can to avoid the traffic. Unfortunately the ad will only add to its congestion. and that makes it much less enjoyable.
otherwise it is one of the best stretches I have ever been on.
