Still want to do the install party? I've got a garage so I guess it's really not that big a deal. However I do need to find something to mount my vice to since my work bench is still unassembled in the basement.

BTW I talked to a friend today that's in the local BMW chapter; they did an event two weeks ago (I thought he said RA) and said they had FIVE totalled cars....in dry weather.

Yeah, my friend was there at RA helping another racer and mentioned that a bunch of cars lost it. One of his friends in a prepped E46 was doing 1:38 around RA.

granted I've only done two events at RA, but still how did they have five totals in one day?? Were most in one particular part of the track?

I am guessing a five point harness? Would you guys like any help?

We did 2 APR bi-pipes and 3 snub mounts. Took about 7.5 hours without rushing. Wade and I did bi-pipes and snub mounts and Chris got a snub today (he installed his bi-pipe last night).

All in all a productive day, but our knuckles and fingertips are a little banged up.

Haven't taken the car out yet to see if there is any difference. I already have a driveline stabilizer, so I don't expect a huge difference with the snub.

I have the snub but when I tried to install it it was to big. I didn't have dremel at the time so I brought it to work and put it in the lathe. I haven't had a chance to try again. Did you have any trobule with the ones you guys did?

the snub is there.. I still think the bi-pipe is giving me a bit more zip... I probably had a loose hose or something before installation.

Had a good time today.

The unofficial difficulty color scale
Casablanca White - Most difficult :-(
Black - Just tough :-|
Imola - Easiest install :-)

But not for long, the front suspension down to the sub frame is off. Waiting on new struts and I will be back in business.

There are some who say the H&R coilovers are bouncy. Guess you should take a spin in my car to see...

I have been doing a little car care today...cleaned engine, tires balanced...even washed the bike. Now I'm off to Autozone for some vacuum hoses.. I'm going to replace the two braided ones that look like they are on there last leg.

I also have the Toy-Guy shifter coming. Time to stop rowing... as they say

Right now mine has no suspension at all. Took it all apart to change all the bushings. I thought the ball joints and struts were good, but as usual, not so good. Waiting on the struts should be finished up this week. Not doing any upgrades on this car because it is my wife's car and she wouldn't even notice the difference. If she puts the key in it and it starts she is happy.
