I'll be there again on Saturday driving in the A-Class. Hopefully it won't rain this time. Once in the rain was enough :)

The track day is a Christmas present from my wife. Really looking forward to it. Any advise?

They'll tell you all the basic stuff in the morning lecture--about keeping your foot off the brake when you're stopped (after getting off the track), lift-throttle oversteer, etc.

Bring a tire pressure guage. You'll want to check the pressure after each session and bleed out some air if it gets too high. Your tires will get a lot warmer on the track than spirited driving around town. I get about a 10psi rise in tire pressure on the track.

The only other advice I have is to get some track brake pads that can take the heat. I don't know if the touring group brakes very hard for the corners (since it's follow-the-leader), but the pads are one of the must-do's for the intermediate and advanced groups.

See you there!

PS: What kind of Audi do you drive?

I will be their early though (unless I have to work). I want to see what all goes on. So that when my car is set I will be ready.

I would like to go for a ride with someone if anyone is willing. Thanks.

It would take to long to explain it all, so I'll fill you in at RA.

Last time they only made the problem better not fixed. My car is going back to the dealer next week (again). Hopefully the last time.

I guess I am going to have to wait until the next track day. I am pretty upset about this whole thing, I was really looking forward to getting onto the track.

I read RA as Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI. When I moved to NC, I checked out the Southeast forum and saw posts mentioning RA. It didn't click with me right away, but I finally figured out that RA means Road Atlanta down here.
