Do any of you in the NC Triangle area know of a good, reliable, accessible German car savvy mechanic other than the guys over at Leith? I just bought an '02 A4 3.0 last month and am looking for someone to do more frequent than prescribed service - and maybe a few mods.

Can you personally recommend a mechaninc? Or are you a total D.I.Y. kinda guy? If I tried to do things myself, I would mess my stuff UP!

There are also a lot of people in the area that would love to help you with some of the simpler items you may want to try.

Sport Exhaust when it becomes available for the 3.0
PES Supercharger??? (maybe)

By the way, I posted on CarolinaQuattro a little while ago asking if there were a gas station in the Triangle which carries 100 Octane fuel. Do you know of any?

Shortshifter, good choice, pretty easy to do.

Exhaust. not hard, but your realy need a lift.

Supercharger (if it becomes available) probably not a DIY job. ;)

...is that I am not able to do any of them as a DIY job. I love my machines, but have no idea how they work. If I started tinkering with things under the hood, it could get REAL ugly. Believe me. Hence, my need for a good German car savvy mechanic.

Well...if you can find a 100 Octane gas station in Raleigh for me, I'll buy your first tank for you... Deal?

I know if I do though...It'll be an expensive addiction :-)
