It's more car than she really needs, but this one is soooo tempting.

What's the reliability like? Are maintenance and mechanic bills gonna kill me?

http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/ctd/1025732539.html</a

I have the link at home somewhere, but looks like a nice car for a decent price. I decided on something else, but the S4 Avant was tempting :)

I just purchased an 05 avant S4 for more than that, although it has 42K on it and mods as well. A truly amazing car though.

as long as you're okay with that you should be fine ;)

The engine itself is pretty rock solid though, and it has a timing chain so it won't need a timing belt job at 90k. That car in general looks pretty nice and it's an Avant so that's a bonus. I would definitey check the carfax but...

that H&R suspenstion they have listed though, I would be skeptical of. Look how it's sitting lower in the rear, I can tell just by the pictures in the link even. Find out if it's full coilovers or just springs.

Either way, the full H&R coilover setup for the B6 S4 was never that good, the reason I mention it is because tried it on my B6 S4 sedan when I was at Achtuning and was not impressed. I could never get it to sit high enough in the rear and it bounced a lot due to badly matched springs/shocks.

I would also rip the stupid "hot air intake" out of it, worthless.
