I assume you need to compress the brake piston while turning it. Most quattros have this "feature".

Depending on what the surface of the piston looks like, you might be able to use the Harbor Freight kit, it worked wonderful on my wife's A4. If the piston has a hex in the center, you can use a short bolt with double-nuts on it to engage the hex, and compress with a big c-clamp. We had to do this yesterday with a friend's 4kq.

I have found lots of ways to get around purchasing $$$$ VAG special tools. You just need to figure out what they are trying to accomplish, then duplicate that function with what you have or can easily get.

I had a set of Coupe calipers laying around so I bead blasted 'em and rebuild them with new o-rings and seals.

I used this tool, designed to push the piston in, I was able to use a pair of needle nose to rotate the piston (by planting the tips of the pliers in the face of the piston, not the sides) as I threaded this tool down. You have to put pressure on the piston and rotate at the same time, if you don't you'll be spinning the piston forever.

Hope this helps.
