What beautiful vehicles...the iconic Countach (the one pictured was used in a few episodes of Miami Vice) and it's modern day brethern Murcielago Roadster once owned by Nicholas Cage.
The triple white Countach (white interior, exterior and wheels) was in phenomenal shape. Intimately detailing both, it is evident that Lamborghini has finally produced a product worthy of it's price tag.
Yet, after spending quite a bit of time behind the wheel in both...the Murcielago still lacks something. The only word that I can think of is SOUL. Don't get me wrong, the Murcielago benefits from all the new technology and for it's size and weight, drives like anyone would imagine an exotic to drive. It requires very little effort and is an absolute HOOT to drive. To me however, it's best described as sterile.
The Countach experience is drastically different. It physically demands the most out of it's driver. It's noisy, clunky, uncomfortable and does not instill quite the confidence of the Murcielago. You have to muscle the shifter through the gates, clutch engagement feels like a 500lb leg press, squinting through the tiny side view mirrors gets a tad old, oh and rear visibility....forget about it. BUT...the noise it makes and just being in the car that once hung on my wall for many many years, makes it worth every second behind the wheel. I suppose that's soul.
Two completely different machines, but both are just down right SEXY!!

This is how the Murcie was delivered to us. We were asked to remove the aftermarket wheels and replace them with oem wheels. That is one of my employees "thizzin" on top of the vehicle that we use to make runs to the dump. It runs much better than it looks.
