Hi all,
I'm new to the board as Im a proud new owner of an '06 S4, it's actually the 25th anniversery edition. I recently traded in my E46 M3 for this and haven't regretted it for a minute.

I've only had it for 2 months and Im already looking to make some mods. Im taking it in next week for an APR download and to have a Carbonio intake installed.

My next dilemma is which exhaust to get? I've heard the Milltek on an '06 S4 and really liked it. But I've been pointed at the APR exhaust by multiple people and apparently the have a B7 tuned full exhaust coming soon.

However, I've never heard an APR exhaust on a B6 or B7 S4 and am wondering if anyone out there has one and either has video or would be willing to meet somewhere so I could check it out. I live in Kenmore and work in Redmond and would be willing to travel in the puget sound area to meet up.

Any help or further advice would be welcome. Also once I have pictures I'll get them posted.

I don't know if you have the quad or dual exhaust, but if you have the dual setup, you may have trouble finding an off-the-shelf exhaust for your car.

Here are some exerpts from the article above that talk about your exhaust:

Mainly, the rear dual exhaust had to be adapted to the S4's quad exhaust setup. As a result, the S4 25quattro's exhaust system is hand-made for the adaptation.

It really does sound different. You don't notice it so much inside the car, but you do moreso when you are outside the vehicle. For example, if you keep the windows open, it's easy to distinguish.

<b>23.) Is that the last we'll see of the DTM body kit?</b>

As stated earlier, the S4 25quattro is a hand-made car in the interior, exhaust, and front grille. The attention to detail in creating the special shift knob, VIN number took a lot of work. The 2007 DTM exterior package will get the cool diffusor around the exhaust pipes, but it will have the quad exhaust setup, not the big fat duals.

Not only will it probably be cheaper, it will also likely have perfect fitment if it is done right. Only thing that comes up to debate is the sound, but a lot of those characteristics can be tailored in what mufflers/resonators or combination of those you choose. My .02 cents.

agreed. I have been tossing that fact around in my head. but on the flip side I want to improve the perf and get a better(loosely stated cuz it sounds good already) note to my exhaust and some added HP/TQ.

Like I said Im already chipping it and getting the intake next Wednesday but the exhaust is still up in the air. i want to make sure I get one that really adds to the car not one to just do it. especially since it's a special car, and it is, it's amazing. i don't regret trading in my M3 for this sweetheart at all.

i appreciate all the feedback and passion around the fact it's a collectors car, that's why I love these forums, the passion for our cars.
