I have no idea what those things were called, but imagine somehting like that and that is what happened to Big Ben. His head was crushed between the helmets of two falcons D-linemen and he was down for the count.

Vick is an awful passing QB and it's inexcusable to give up 4 TDs to him! They were off turnovers though, so I'll give you that.

It's hard to win like that, unfortunately.

Otherwise, no picks, 3 TDs, and tons of passing yards. I know that you really want to try and convince me that Ben is a joke, but that's not going to happen.

Hang your hat on win/loss records all you want. I know what I see from both of our teams. We have a tough schedule and it shows. You have a cake schedule, yet you're barely beating some teams and getting spanked by the good ones in your conference.

"3. Who is the best team in the AFC North?

Allen: It seems strange right now to say this, but the best team in the AFC North is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ignore for a moment that they lost in overtime against the Falcons and think about what this offense has done the past two weeks. They've completely dominated two good defenses with two different quarterbacks. The running game looks refreshed and Ben Roethlisberger and Charlie Batch both have an excellent grasp of this offense and are executing their play calls. This team would beat the Bengals and Ravens with Batch or Roethlisberger leading the way.

Hoge: It's the Steelers in a landslide. They have an excellent blend of offense and defense and are starting to look like the Steelers from last year. This team will be hard to beat down the stretch, even if Roethlisberger has to miss time. Backup quarterback Charlie Batch is more than capable of winning games.

Salisbury: Despite losing Sunday to the Falcons, the Steelers are back and they have fewer questions surrounding them than any other team in the AFC North. The Ravens have trouble moving the ball on offense and even with a good defense, you have to put points on the board in this division. The Bengals are having offensive line issues that have slowed their explosive offense. Cleveland just isn't ready. That leaves the Steelers, who have the right combination of offensive and defensive excellence to contend.

4. Are the Seahawks in danger of being the latest Super Bowl loser to miss the playoffs?

Allen: It truly depends on how long Matt Hasselbeck is out with his knee injury. Even if Shaun Alexander returns, this team is in trouble with Seneca Wallace as the quarterback because he has almost no experience as a pro quarterback. Opposing teams are going to send a bunch of different schemes at him on passing downs, while also keeping eight men at the line of scrimmage to shut Alexander down. This doesn't bode well for the Seahawks' chances.

Hoge: The Seahawks are in trouble without Hasselbeck and Alexander. They need those two out there or this team is in dire straits. They are the two leaders of this team and if they aren't out there then the Hawks are dead in the water because they can't rely on Wallace and Maurice Morris to carry them anywhere other than a postseason golf trip.

Salisbury: It's a shame that this injury to Hasselbeck may be what exposes him to the world as a great quarterback. He has never received the recognition he deserves because he had Alexander running the ball. Now, everyone will get to see how important he is to this offense. Even if Alexander comes back, the Seahawks are going nowhere without Hasselbeck at quarterback. This team has to get Hasselbeck back on the field to have any chance of making the playoffs."<ul><li><a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2635788">I told you that the Steelers were still the best in the division and that the Seahawks were in trouble.</a></li></ul>

you are 2 - 4 and with 9 games to go you have a lot of work ahead.

You are seriously delusional if you think your team is in position to be a contender at this point. Good luck against Oakland next week, it might be your only win for a long time.

A good QB is aware of his surroundings and uses agility and instinct to avoid being taken down. Sometimes things go wrong, but 3 sacks can't be blamed on the O-Line alone.

Guess you don't like it too much when the commentators turn against your team, so now you don't value what they have to say. Interesting how that works.

he's mobile in the pocket. Atlanta has a good defense.

Sometimes the protection breaks down, someone misses a block, etc., and the QB gets nailed. It happens. You really need to examine his performance from yesterday before you try and say that he played poorly. Ben accounted for more points than the entire Seahawks team on Sunday (and our backup QB added two more scores).

Your backup QB played well I thought. Worthlessburger however had a lot of close calls that ended up going his way, looks great on paper, but didnt look as good in person.

The difference between a good QB and GREAT QB is the ability to control his surroundings, and create the best possible outcome in each situation. Taking a lot of sacks means he is unaware of the fact that his O-Line is getting creamed, unless they really just demolished it from the snap (which was never the case on sunday).

the pressure.

See how stupid that sounds? Neither QB was responsible for their injury this weekend.

Also, I don't care what you think of Ben's performance. Lobby for Charlie Batch all you want. Everyone around the country knows that Ben is the right guy for the job. You can think he plays "fine not good" all you want. His "fine" won us a Super Bowl. So, I'm pretty happy with him playing "fine" for the rest of his career, actually.

He's the franchise QB. If you want to argue that he should be replaced, call one of the many radio talk shows and propose that idea. We'll see how long it takes for them to laugh at you. It's going to take more than three bad games in 2.5 seasons for me to lose faith in him.

The guy is a winner. You can point to three bad games this year if you want, but nobody else is silly enough to buy into that reasoning.

Let's grade Hasselbeck after this week, then. He played poorly and then got injured, so he's clearly not the right QB for your team. What has he done for you this year? Won 4 games against weak teams and lost 2 against strong teams. You'll only face strong teams in the playoffs, so he's clearly not the right QB for your team.

Your rationale for just about everything is as weak as I've ever seen. Lobby for the backups on your own team. You obviously don't know anything about the personnel on my team, so don't bother pretending like you do.

But if it's entertaining to you, keep it up. You're just pissing off the other people in this forum, especially when you continue to start threads outside of the single weekly one.
