I've read conflicting things here. I have the Bose in a 98 2.8QMS:<p>- Some say you only get a subwoofer in the Avant<br>- I thought I read in the brochure that you do get a subwoofer in the sedan with Bose<br>- I also read here that the sedan has a subwoofer under the front rear of the trunk<br>- Some say you don't get it<p>I've noticed that even when I fade it to the front only, I hear booming bass from the rear.<br>I already have a lot of stuff in the front of the trunk, so rather than pulling it out to look, maybe somebody would enlighten me - do I have a subwoofer?<p>Thanks in advance.<p>

As I recall, only the Avant has the subwoofer. You don't get it in the sedan regardless of whether you have the upgraded Bose system or not.<p>There are aftermarket subwoofers with in-line inputs that are designed to work with existing factory systems. Just ask your friendly neighborhood stereo shop.<p>Good luck.

I don't know who you have been talking to, but a sub does come as part of the Bose Audio Package in the sedan. Read the sticker, it is right there. I seem to think that the Bass is a bit muddled in the Audio package, but it certainly there....<p>

My 97 1.8T w/ bose did not come w/ a subwoofer in the back. Perhaps its only 98.5+ that have a sub in the sedan?
