Last weekend at the Son of Quattrofest event I was approached by a new company named Trigger Happy Productions and was asked if I wanted to try out a new service they are planning to market where they install a video camera into your car to record a full lapping session.

This was one of their first attempts to do try this out and I agreed to be their guinnea pig.

The following link is my first effort to post one of the laps during the session their camera was mounted in my car. As incredible as it might seem, I had a full 20 minute lapping session in which I was almost alone out on the track. I only encountered 3 cars during the whole session.

Just an FYI...they're doing a joint instructor clinic with Oregon Porsche club Sunday, March 13 (the weekend before they're first DE event.

You should check it out. I just noticed it in the BMW ACA Portland club flier. I think they are in need of more instructors. Hey, $50 and then you qualify to teach with even more clubs! Or, did the Porsche thing you did in Kent already qualify you for these guys?

Smooth indeed...

Unlike the Audi Club NW, the Seattle BMW and PCA clubs are separate entities. There doesn't appear to be a whole lot of crossover between the two.

BTW: I might wind up taking Don's SCCA licensing class the following week. Still TBD. My buddy is taking it next week and then joining me for the BMW/Cascade back to back HPDEs at PIR 3/18 and 3/19.

Don will warp your DE thinking forever and very much for the better I might add :)

I will most likely be working at the BMW ACA event on the 18th, so I will prolly see you there.

Can't say that I could have predicted that I'd have been to 11 track days (including Don's one-day clinic) and an SCCA licensing class in the year since my S4 arrived. But, life altering things do happen.
