I wasnt sure if I was going to be able to get them at such a nice price...if at all. OZ doesnt make this style in this sort of finish anymore. So I wanted to get them fast. But the unfortunate consequence is that I cannot afford a drop right now...So no suspension kit for me. I may hafta wait for some time. The biggest dilemma for me is that I still have 5 yrs/50,000 miles. I spent 5k+ to get the extended warrenty. And I just brought the car in the other day for the yearly check and heard this one guy asking the maintenance rep and the guy asked about switching coilovers etc etc. Rep said that Audi would void the suspension warrenties...so...=T I still got so much time....*sigh*...I dont want to throw that away. Cuz I'm afraid imma break someone on the suspension sometime and I'll get ripped a new one cuz I'm no longer under warrenty.

I mean I really want to get this car on new coilovers but I torpedoed my savings buying the 19's...=P Or if any of you have a slightly used set and you dont mind upgrading you own I may take them off of your hands~?

to void your warranty. Once you go to new coilovers, you've replaced most of what will go wrong anyway. (-control arms)

do any of u on this forum have some hookups for a part time job? I need to get this car on new coilovers...but need $$ to do it...

set up in a way where its covered separately? As in like if I void my suspension warrenty it will not void the engine warrenty and stuff like that??

usually the dealer will void it for anything that you do to the car aftermarket.

but APR wrote the software where there is an option of locking the stage 1 software so as long as you switch yourself to stock mode and the dealership scans the ECU they cant see it. I just went in this time and there wasnt a problem. I had a nice shiney Forge bpv and they didnt say they were going to void the warrenty =P I guess its probably cuz they dont have a yet. My big concern is whether the warrenty is compartmentalized as in each part (ie. engine, electronics, suspension, etc.) is coverd individually??

At that point they voided my powertrain and suspension warranties. I had a rear seal leak at 9k that wasn't covered, this led to a weak clutch that wouldn't be covered. I had a suspension clunk that they wouldn't diagnose.

As parts break, I replace them with better parts. The car totally rocks. However, I'll never buy another one new depending on a warranty to keep me rolling (I don't know if this includes Porsche as well as they are the same dealer).

I love my car, but don't kid yourself. At Audi here in Portland, once you drive off the lot be prepared to take care of yourself!

that musta been a bitch to hear about when they told you they wouldnt cover it. &gt;.&lt; So what? they just told you that they wouldnt cover you cuz you participated in a track event? "used the car in a way that it was never intended to be used" sorta thing?

haha...gotta help me find a good deal on coilovers or springs/shock package...so this car can look half decent.
