Just thought i'd take a little time to keep up with the old crew. I've been keeping up on work back here at USMA and now things are getting a little easier for Labor Day.
Things are pretty good here. The only serious detractors from the quality of life are the sever lack of media/culture (i dont get music, movies, tv till after xmas... or so say the rules) and not having my car is frustrating. Also, there is a severe drought of car guys here, and i've yet to run into someone who can say "Audi" correctly (knows what one is), or trully appreciates quattro and the 1.8t. Such is life.
I've been in classes for nearly 3 weeks now. They're going well, i'm doing better than i expected to start, although the workload is still really time consuming. It's been hot as helllll lately, and humid too. West Point isn't the most temperate place on earth, though.
I made the crew team here, so i get to get away and work my ass off somewhere else a few hours a day. Most of the people (guys, as the ratio is about 10 guys per female) here are cool. I've got lots of good buddies from basic in the summer and we find ways to have fun. I enjoy the vast majority of the military life and am adjusting well. I would like to come home for Labor day, but the flight schedules didn't really work out, and i got stuck with guard duty to boot. I'll be home for turkey day, so i'll get to drive, and maybe even see a few of yall then.
I keep checking in from time to time when i can't study anymore, or just need a reminder of once was. Stay alive, and drive hard. peace!
And here a pic of me with my fuzzy, "hooah" haircut. YAY!
