Does anyone know when an A4 ordered today will be built? Will it be before or after the 2nd week of 1999, when the changeover to the '99.5 is supposed to take place?<p>Has anyone placed an order in the last week or so and gotten a build date?

The Nov. build allocation is the first build of the 99.5 A4's. They are to arrive in March.

If I were buying a new A4 now I'd definitely want the 99.5 version. I would play it safe, and wait maybe until December because you simply never know with dealers, and also Audi doesn't officially acknowledge a 99.5 model year. I wouldn't want any surprises. My 98.5 30v was ordered and built in December 97 and delivered in March 98.<p>Gus<br>

My dealer says this is true for sedan, but he isn't sure Avant will follow the same schedule.
