Does anyone know if a factory order placed now will be filled with a '99 or a '99.5 A4?
Has anyone placed an order in the last week or so and been given a build date past Week 2 of 1999?

I dunno... I went to the dealer tonight to look for one. The A4 that are Nov. build are not to my liking I am ordering one. I have been told that it will be a January build. This is the soonest build for one the way I want it and has a delivery date of March.
When I asked the salesperson about possible changes/redesign he told me the only thing that they were informed about was the differnt facia (sp?) for the S4. He knows nothing of a mid 99 car being any different than early 99 cars.
So I think I'm going to order one anyway and see how it turns out. The salesperson is an older man who has been with this dealer for many years and says that I can order to my specs and even if I change my mind about getting the car there will be no problems. He doesn't even want a deposit or anything.
Suppose I can't go wrong, huh?
Kevin
1990 Jetta GTX VR6

You could go wrong on price. Usually the price (e.g., 5% over invoice)
is part of the "contract" when placing a deposit on a factory order.
Otherwise, you do not have much claim on the car should they
decide to sell it to someone else for a higher price, or even decide
not to order a car quite to your specs.
